How we work

Local people, lasting care

Every elder we support is known to a volunteer from their own area.

  • We listen. A volunteer visits and learns what the elder needs most.
  • We act. Food, health support or company, matched to that need.
  • We stay. Regular visits, not a one-off handout.
  • We report. Donors and partners hear what their support achieved.

Questions

Frequently asked

Which areas do you serve?

We work in villages across Murang'a County, Kenya, starting with the communities where our self-help group began.

How do you choose which elders to support?

Elders are referred by family, neighbours, churches and local leaders. A volunteer visits to understand their situation before support begins.

How can I be sure my gift is used well?

We are a registered NGO and keep records of every gift. Send us a message after giving and we will share how it was used.

Can I visit or volunteer?

Yes. Visit the Get involved page or send us a message, and we will tell you about upcoming activities.
